You’ve graduated from prenatal teacher training, and maybe you've been teaching for a bit, but how do you go about developing your teaching "eye"? Seeing what your students need, and cultivating a class style which both supports and challenges your students without risking injury is the hallmark of a great teacher.
As Yoga Teachers we work with more than just our knowledge of anatomy and asana. We develop the ability to look beyond the Asana to see the whole being before us.
Who is the Mentorship for?
This Mentoring program is for yoga teachers who have already completed Om Birth's Initial Prenatal yoga training. It is designed to give you the tools to refine your own authentic teaching style, approach and voice. It will help you become a more grounded, confident and dynamic prenatal yoga teacher.
How does it work?
Mentorships are nothing new. Yoga teachers & doulas have long histories of mentorships. Students would apprentice with their teachers, observing & asking questions. This oral & hands on transmission of the craft is what gives the pupil a chance to develop in a profoundly organic, and practical way. You'll learn through practice, and discussion- not through a manual or lecture.
Through 3 one-on-one meetings, and 2 observations of your classes (location permitting), Bec will give you personalized feedback and encouragement as your further develop your teaching style, and body of prenatal focused knowledge.
What will you get out of your mentorship?
- A clear understanding of what you offer what you teach in a given classroom, and why
- More confidence in your presentation & sequencing
- A stronger sense of your teaching intuition and "eye"
