Sweat & Rebuild Muscle with our Baby Sculpt Series!
To complement our Kids Yoga practice, we are offering an intensive "Baby Sculpt" class in the same amazing environment. While babies are free to do what makes them happy, moms will be working not only on their core, but on full body strengthening and some much-needed stretching. We will be doing high intensity, low impact exercises with both our body weight and baby's! The goal is to target the muscles that may need strengthening after being pregnant and birth.
Kids Yoga (crawlers) has been such an amazing experience for us moms that have babies who are no longer candidates for Baby and Me Yoga – to put it simply, these older babies are ready to move and be more involved!
Please note, for safety reasons, you must be a minimum of 3 months postpartum to participate in the series.
4 60 Minute Sessions
Karina grew up in Newport Beach, CA. In 1993 she received her Instructor Certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and immediately began teaching the most popular classes at the time, Step and Body Sculpting. Shortly thereafter “Spin Cycling” was born and in 1997 she began teaching non-traditional spin classes, riding out of the saddle, to the beat of the music, for the duration of the class. When she became pregnant in 2009 with her first child, she decided to take on fitness full time. She founded 10/60 Sweat, a high-intensity interval class consisting of treadmill and resistance/strength training. When her son was 6 weeks old, Karina began taking on personal clients again, but the focus was now on moms who were trying to get back to their pre-baby selves AND who did not have child care! The workouts became baby-and-me sessions with both Karina, and her clients bringing their babies along. Finding the Kids Yoga classes at Om Births has inspired her to dive back into her passion of teaching, while incorporating her children, and also her goal of becoming a yoga instructor.
