What is Pelvic Floor Yoga?

Pelvic Floor Yoga is a practice which focuses on developing balanced strength and function in the muscles at the base of the pelvis. These muscles not only support and control organ function, but contribute to overall pelvic and core health and also guide the baby’s head through the pelvis during the birth process.

Many women are told to do “kegels” during pregnancy, but these often miss the mark in creating overall strength, and can often lead to too much tension. Pelvic Floor yoga sessions involve self assessment tools for students to discover their own relative tone, and then create a gentle, personalized practice to develop overall strength, prepare for birth, and lifelong pelvic health afterwards

I never thought my prolapse would heal, but Bec created the perfect sequence to help me understand and strengthen gently, and now I have no pressure!

-Justine

"The 1 on 1 pelvic floor yoga sessions were exactly what I needed to renew awareness of and connection with my pelvic floor and really just get to know my new body. Each week she provided me with exercises to address what I was dealing with. Now, 6 months postpartum, I continue to start every single workout with the exercises she gave me because they ignite a connection to my pelvic floor that I don’t ever want to lose and that I have found essential to feeling strong in my body. I honestly feel the strongest I have ever felt - because I’m caring my new baby everyday and because of what I learned from Bec."
